You will be working as part of a newly established team in a decontamination environment, delivering a professional service to the NHS trust.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all Endoscopes are cleaned and packaged to the correct high standards ready for patient use.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties will include:

Perform Leakage tests on all scopes

Pre-Clean all scopes as per the manufacturers guidelines.

Decontaminate flexible scopes using the automated washer disinfectors.

Complete all necessary scanning and administration for endoscopes to be reprocessed

Job responsibilities

Prioritise and disinfect endoscopes to ensure the users requirements are met in line with the agreed service agreements and the daily requirements schedule.

Carry out daily tests and house-keeping duties on the decontamination equipment and within the department. Keep all work areas tidy and free from Hazards.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level, including Maths & English.
  • Jets/JAG training

Experience

Special Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of decontamination processes
