We are looking for a Business Support Officer to work with our community nursing team based at Meadowfield Clinic in the Meadowfield area of Durham.

Main duties of the job:

  • Provide support to the community nursing team and be a valued member of the team.
  • Provide administrative support to a team of community nurses.
  • Order supplies for the nursing teams.
  • Convert referrals for the team within the system One.
  • Accept electronic referrals into the team.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies to enable the nurses to provide care to patients.
  • Answer the phone, navigate the electronic systems the team uses, and file and scan documents.

Person Specification:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Systm One and Cardea.
  • Special Skills and Knowledge: Able to use own initiative appropriately.
  • Qualifications: Maths and English GCSE/equivalent & NVQ 3/equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Understanding: An understanding of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, its culture, strategic direction, achievements, and NHS standing.
  • Special Requirements: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, work as part of a team, work with minimal supervision, and maintain confidentiality.
