Full Time post working 12pm to 8pm.
Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) are a whollyowned subsidiary company of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust(CDDFT). Synchronicity Care Limited(SCL) provides a range of non-clinical Estates, Facilities and Procurementservices to CDDFT.
An excellent opportunityhas arisen within Synchronicity CareLimited (SCL) for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual toinfluence and contribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at DarlingtonMemorial Hospital.
Domestic Assistants areimportant members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcomingenvironment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busyacute hospital.The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaningexperience in a healthcare environment however full training will be providedand all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQLevel 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .
Successfulpost holders will be expected to work shift pattern which includes weekends.All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Main duties of the job
Successfulpost holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other relatedduties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels ofcleanliness throughout the environment.
They will be required towork as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative toprioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professionalapproach at all times regardless of the situation.
They will ensure thatcommunicaton channels are maintained between appropirate staff, visitors andpatient groups with regard to departmental cleaning hygiene.
Post holders will be alsobe expected to be flexible to the needs of the service ensuring that acontinuity of service is maintained whilst adhering to all relevant policiesand procedures.
Theywill have the ability to work unsupervised, be caring, flexible and reliableand have good levels of personal hygiene.

To undertake cleaning duties asdetailed within the domestic method statements, following cleaning schedulesand COSHH guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safetylegalisations and correct use of PPE.
To maintain the hospital environment as laid down in theNational standards of Cleanliness.
Undertake rectifications from the cleaning audit actionplans and showing continually improvement.
Assist with beverage service as required and agreed.
Thorough and hygienic cleaning of all domestic equipmentand storage areas
To attend Trust or required training courses that isrelevant to the post as a domestic.
Request and replenish ofall cleaning products through effective stock ordering
Maintain a high level of personal hygiene
Adherence to all Trust /Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) and Departmental policies andprocedures.
Checking of all equipment before use and report anyfaults and defects to supervisor/manager
Recording and maintaining records as required
Reporting of any estates issues that have an impact onthe cleaning services that you provide.
Undertake any other domestic orientated duties asrequired.
