About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll build the cloud and edge platform connecting autonomous robots with operator intelligence. You'll own the infrastructure that enables software to move securely from developer laptops into production robot fleets. This is an early, high-impact engineering hire where you'll shape cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure, secure networking, observability, and developer tooling from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Design and build cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Develop secure networking, VPN, PKI, TLS, and identity management across cloud and edge environments
- Build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines for cloud services and robot deployments
- Design Kubernetes and K3s environments for cloud, edge, and on-prem deployments
- Build secure OTA deployment and fleet management capabilities
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Pulumi
- Improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms
- Create internal developer platforms and tooling that improve engineering productivity
- Strengthen platform security through secrets management, audit logging, and infrastructure hardening
- Collaborate closely with AI, Robotics, and Software Engineering teams
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Deep Kubernetes expertise, including K3s or other lightweight distributions
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar
- Solid networking and security fundamentals including VPNs, TLS, PKI, firewalls, and secure connectivity
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
- Programming experience with Python, Go, or another systems language
- Experience building developer platforms and internal engineering tooling
- Builder mindset with strong ownership and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving startup
Nice to Have
- Edge computing, IoT, or robotics fleet deployment experience
- OTA updates, A/B deployments, or fleet management
- Experience with air-gapped or on-premise environments
- Security-sensitive industries such as defense, fintech, or healthcare
- Experience supporting ML infrastructure, GPU orchestration, or model serving
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry
