JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you an experienced LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, consistent daytime hours and long-term job security?
An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in the Tonbridge & Malling area.
The company operates a large fleet of around 600 commercial vehicles, predominantly 3.5-tonne panel vans, supplying vehicles on long-term contracts within the utility sector.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add another experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to their workshop team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles
- Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans
- Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying and replacing worn or defective components
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
- Completing workshop documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
- Supporting the wider workshop team where required
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A minimum of approximately five years’ experience working on commercial vehicles
- Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
- Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- A full UK driving licence
- Your own tools
- Reliable transport to and from the workshop
Experience working on Ford Transit vehicles would be particularly advantageous, although it is not essential.

- Monday to Friday – Choice of 06:00–16:00 or 07:00–17:00
- Every other Saturday – 07:00–12:00
PAY AND BENEFITS
- £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
- 21 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
