The successful candidate will lead and manage projects across multiple RIBA stages, taking responsibility for design development, technical delivery, consultant coordination and site-stage administration. You will be expected to develop innovative and practical design solutions, produce high-quality technical information, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the design and delivery of commercial and residential projects of varying scale.
- Managing projects through all RIBA work stages from concept to completion.
- Producing and coordinating high-quality drawing packages and technical information.
- Administering traditional building contracts and supporting site-stage delivery.
- Working closely with clients, consultant teams, contractors and local authorities.
- Contributing to placemaking, design development, project coordination and delivery programmes.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Playing an active role in the continued growth and development of the practice.
About You:
- We are looking for a talented and motivated Architect or Architectural Technician / Designer with 5-10 years' post-qualification experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
- ARB Registered Architect or experienced Architectural Technician / Designer.
- Proven experience delivering projects through all design and construction stages.
- Strong technical knowledge and construction detailing expertise.
- Experience administering traditional building contracts.
- Excellent technical drawing, presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD experience also advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of Scottish planning policy, building regulations and construction processes.
- Proven experience within the residential sector, with commercial sector experience highly desirable.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- RIAS/RIBA membership.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary project delivery.
