About the Role
As our People Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor to managers across CCW, providing expert HR guidance and supporting the delivery of our People Strategy. You’ll lead on employee relations, organisational change, workforce planning, recruitment, L&D, and policy development — helping us build an engaged, inclusive, high‑performing organisation. You will also line‑manage our People Co‑ordinator and help develop effective, people‑centred working practices across CCW.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to deliver effective people management and workforce planning
- Lead on employee relations cases and coach managers to build confidence
- Support organisational change, culture, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, talent and succession planning activities
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring legal and Civil Service alignment
- Analyse HR data to provide insights and drive informed decisions
- Build strong relationships with staff forums and trade unions
- Promote CCW’s PRIDE values and lead by example
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
Essential:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) and/or strong generalist HR experience
- Experience managing complex ER cases and supporting organisational change
- Confidence advising managers and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to work proactively, manage priorities and maintain confidentiality
Desirable:
- Public sector, ALB or Civil Service experience
- Experience supporting HR policy development or L&D initiatives
