About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to join our high-performing procurement team, supporting the manufacture of cutting-edge carbon ceramic disc brake systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced engineering, managing a global supply base and playing a key role in ensuring the quality, cost, and availability of critical components.
- Managing the end-to-end procurement of components, materials, and services
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, particularly across China and Germany
- Leading RFQs, analysing quotes, and negotiating competitive commercial terms
- Monitoring supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support new and existing products
- Identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities across the supply chain
- Managing orders, tracking deliveries, and mitigating supply risks
Proven experience in a Buyer / Procurement role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness. Experience using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills. Experience in automotive, aerospace, or advanced materials manufacturing. Knowledge of carbon ceramic or high-performance components.
