The Food Bank Warehouse Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, Community Animation, will be responsible for the overall operations of the Exchange food storage area, client pantry and receiving area. This includes ensuring appropriate distribution of client food hampers (in-person & truck deliveries), donation retrieval (receiving and storage), donor appreciation, inventory management, volunteer management while maintaining standards of excellence as per Food Banks Canada accreditation material. The incumbent will provide team leadership to the warehouse volunteers and will be responsible for the daily administration and operation of the warehouse.

Position Deliverables/Accountabilities
• Ensuring that client hampers are being prepared and distributed timely (Including in-person and
truck deliveries)
• Prep the truck schedules
• Receiving food donations and appropriately storing them within a reasonable timeframe
• Making sure that food weights are recorded properly
• Guiding volunteers with various activities
• Keeping the back area clean and organized
• Restocking the pantry and keeping it clean and organized
• Fridge and freezer temp checks twice a day
• Prepping shopping lists for the Food Bank Associate to do shopping
• Back-up shopper if Food Bank Associate is not available
• Keep the manager informed of food supply requirements
• Actioning Food Bank service excellence tasks
• Liaises with community partners to ensure adequate volumes of food support donations.
Qualifications Criteria
Education
• Minimum two-year college diploma in a related field, or the equivalent in combined education and experience.
Nature of Experience Required
• 1 – 2 years’ experience
• Previous experience working in warehouse receiving, distribution or food retail
Knowledge Required
• Knowledge of the warehouse operations an asset
• Knowledge of food-centred programs and supports
Skills Required
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to safe work practices (i.e. health and safety, safe food storage);
• Effective Communicator; Excellent verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with the public;
• Committed to working with a team to build a great customer experience;
• Passionate about helping others
• Ability to drive in all seasons;
• First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to be certified;
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Ability to bend/crouch, and safely use ladders in order to retrieve materials and products;
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures

• Access to a personal device (smart phone or tablet) is required for periodic, two-factor
authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator App when signing into CCS networks/cloud environment as part of I.T. security protocols ;
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with clear driving record;
