Overview
Are you an expert in Clinical Science looking for your next challenge? We are collaborating with an innovative, small-sized biopharma on a search for a Lead Clinical Scientist or Director of Clinical Science to drive their immunology trials. This is an exciting initial 12-month contract where you\’ll be at the heart of the action, driving clinical strategy in a hands-on, impactful role.
This role offers a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly influence the success of their clinical programmes and the development of therapies for patients with significant unmet needs.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Strategy: Design, plan, and execute clinical trials for the client’s immunology and autoimmune pipeline, ensuring compliance and scientific rigour.
- Study Leadership: Provide expert scientific and medical oversight for clinical studies, including developing protocols, analysing data, and interpreting results.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with a lean, dedicated team including clinical operations, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs to move assets forward efficiently.
- External Relations: Act as a key point of contact with investigators, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and regulatory bodies.
- Documentation: Contribute to essential clinical documents such as Investigator’s Brochures and Clinical Study Reports.
Qualifications
- Academic Background: An advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or medical discipline.
- Industry Experience: 7+ years for Director, 5+ years for Lead in clinical development within biopharma, with a focus on immunology or autoimmune diseases.
- Early-Phase Expertise: Proven track record in early-phase clinical development (Phase I and II).
- Adaptable & Proactive: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes a hands-on approach.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a high-impact role.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and global regulatory requirements.
