We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to join a leading main contractor delivering one of London’s most prestigious landmark developments. This is a high-profile, technically complex project at the forefront of modern construction, requiring strong leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to drive delivery in a fast-paced, design-rich environment.
You will take ownership of the mechanical services package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, working closely with design teams, subcontractors, and the wider project leadership team.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all mechanical services on a major landmark project
- Manage mechanical subcontractors, ensuring performance, quality, and programme compliance
- Oversee design coordination, technical submittals, and BIM integration
- Drive commissioning strategy and ensure seamless system integration and handover
- Work closely with commercial teams to manage budgets, variations, and procurement
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining programme certainty
Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Lead or Senior Mechanical Project Manager role:
- Strong background delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, or landmark projects
- Excellent understanding of HVAC, public health, and building services systems
- Demonstrable experience managing complex mechanical packages in central London
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, fast-moving project environment
- Relevant mechanical or building services engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
