Our client is a well-established and highly respected subcontractor, known for delivering specialist packages on some of the UK’s most high-profile and technically challenging construction projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of prestigious work, they are now looking to appoint a BIM Manager with expertise in fire stopping.
The Role
This is a key position within the business, responsible for leading BIM delivery across multiple flagship projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate coordination and implementation of passive fire protection (fire stopping) systems through advanced digital modelling and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee BIM processes across a portfolio of major projects
- Lead coordination of fire stopping systems within federated models
- Work closely with design teams, main contractors, and consultants
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and regulations
- Carry out clash detection and drive resolution strategies
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, procedures, and workflows
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and site teams
- Support digital innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator role
- Strong proficiency in software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Experience working within a subcontractor or specialist contractor environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of fire stopping / passive fire protection systems
- Good understanding of UK building regulations and fire compliance
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
