Freelance Commercial Assistant – Rail Contractor – Kent Are you an experienced Commercial Assistant looking for your next freelance opportunity? We are working with a leading rail contractor who is seeking a Commercial Assistant to join their team on-site in Kent. The Role: * Supporting commercial teams with contract administration, cost reporting, and procurement. * Working 4 days a week on-site, ensuring smooth commercial operations. * Handling contracts under NR (Network Rail) and NEC frameworks. * Using COINS and other commercial systems for reporting and financial management. * Ensuring compliance with project budgets, change management, and cost control. * Processing and checking data accurately to support financial and contractual decisions. What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience in a similar role within rail or civil engineering. * Strong knowledge of NR and NEC contracts. * Proficiency in COINS or similar financial and commercial systems. * Thorough and process-driven approach, with strong attention to detail. * Excellent data processing and checking skills, ensuring accuracy in all commercial documentation. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, site-based environment. Contract Details: * Freelance role, paid weekly via an umbrella company. * Competitive day rate, depending on experience. * Immediate start available.
