  • Profile and improve performance related to GPU cost, shadows, Lumen, translucency, particles, post-processing, and volumetrics.
  • Collaborate with level designers to ensure lighting and VFX support gameplay flow.
  • Partner with Environment Art to elevate scene composition, material response, emissive usage, and lighting integration.
  • Debug lighting and VFX issues such as artifacts, exposure problems, reflection issues, overdraw, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Create reusable lighting and VFX setups, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Take part in reviews, playtests, polish passes, and performance passes.
  • Lead by example in reviews, playtests, polish passes, and performance passes, providing clear and actionable feedback.
  • Mentor and support other artists, contributing to team growth and raising overall craft quality.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in cross-discipline discussions, influencing decisions that impact visual direction and player experience.
