CCP are seeking a Senior Games Designer to join the EVE: Vanguard team in their London office, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Pitch, design, and prototype game systems and mechanics.
- Implement approved designs using Unreal Engine.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including feature specifications and implementation guidelines.
- Develop handling, weapon gameplay, and combat mechanics, including balancing and data creation.
- Collaborate with artists, programmers, and other designers to integrate systems seamlessly into gameplay.
- Maintain balance between multiple gameplay systems to ensure a cohesive and engaging player experience.
- Prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and actively contribute to design meetings.
- Implement, balance, and bug-fix gameplay features from concept to release.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Senior Game Designer in the videogame industry with at least 1 shipped title, ideally in the shooter genre.
- Proven experience prototyping in Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of shooter mechanics, player feedback, and pacing.
- Passion and a strong interest in competitive and co-operative shooters.
- Strong UX sensibility and ability to clearly communicate and document ideas.
- Deep knowledge of rules, systems, and gameplay mechanics.
