Job Title: Encapsulation Technician Function: Manufacturing Reporting to: Encapsulation Team Leader

MAIN OBJECTIVES

Responsible for all aspects of the production critical encapsulation process required for product manufactured.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out all aspects of the Encapsulation process including encapsulating, sealing, and priming of assemblies.
• Carrying out routine checks, maintenance and cleaning of encapsulation machines, compressor, vacuum pump, maintenance and filter change of spray booth equipment all in accordance with procedures.
• Planning, progressing and co-ordinating workload in accordance with production schedule and other internal customers, such as repair and design departments.
• Raising production paperwork including non-compliance/rework records and stores requisitions in accordance with company processes.
• Ensuring all quality procedures for build and workmanship standards and ESD requirements are implemented.
• Maintaining and improving housekeeping and cleanliness of work area.
• Working on own initiative reading BOM's and drawings etc.
• Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Responsibility for adhering to the Company's Quality ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management system requirements and the Health and Safety Management System.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Good attention to detail.
• Experience with operating machinery
• Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
• Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
• Good communication skills.

Working conditions

• The role includes the use of PPE where appropriate e.g. safety shoes, eyewear, gloves, Respiratory masks.
• Operation and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30kg (with use of mechanical aids where applicable) in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
• Occasional lifting and movement of equipment/materials up to 800kg with use of mechanical aids in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
