The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To manage, coach and monitor all aspects of the Digital Forensics Lab performance in conjunction with your line manager, HR and the Forensic Case Team. Act as first line support for a dedicated team of DF Analysts.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Analysts, in all aspects of their role – technical, performance, behaviours and welfare.
- Assign casework & use CCL’s case management system to effectively & proactively manage case work of individuals to maintain efficiency & ensure deadlines are maintained.
- Be responsible for analysis tasks & communicate with the Operations Managers & Forensic Case Team to ensure any challenges are highlighted & resolved including any issues which may affect analysts productivity.
- Ensure the Laboratory is using the most appropriate hardware & software required for casework and that analysts have access to required tools and equipment.
- Ensure that all ISO processes & documentation are up to date & are being adhered to, assist with ISO audits when required and dip sample casework where needed.
- Develop personal growth opportunities for staff and support a positive working environment.
- Proactively identify any inefficiencies or areas that can be improved upon & make recommendations to the Operations Managers where these have been identified and evidence the driving of efficiencies to ensure their effectiveness.
- Identify any performance management issues and manage them in accordance with CCL’s policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective leadership of the team, take responsibility for teams performance in line with any targets set and feedback business objects and views to the team.
- Contribute to Lab performance, maintaining technical skills with delivering a small case load.
- Provide support to new team leaders.
Required Skill Set & Experience
- Experience working as a practitioner or leader in digital forensics.
- Previous people management experience.
- Sound understanding of current ACPO guidelines, ISO17025 and the FSR Code of Practice.
- Ability to develop, motivate, inspire and lead people to achieving their maximum potential.
- Previous experience using leading industry standard tools.
- Ability to work independently and make sound and reasoned judgements.
- Sound analytical and interpretation skills.
- Ability to work with precision, accuracy with high attention to detail.

- Minimum 5 years UK residency.
- Full driving licence.
