About the role: With the increasing volume and sophistication of cyber threats, manual defences are no longer sufficient. Engineers must be skilled in designing inherently secure software, leveraging automation tools to streamline security operations, reduce response times, and eliminate repetitive tasks.
You will:
- Own and oversee all security projects involving third parties and internal teams
- Carry out thorough security assessments of systems, networks, and applications
- Develop strategies to identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses and security threats, and mitigate risks and strengthen security defenses
- Provide guidance and make recommendations on best practice for securing our systems and data and assist with implementing security controls and solutions
- Promote secure coding practices and work collaboratively with coding engineers
- Stay up to date on the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Work on general software development projects alongside other members of the CCL Engineering Team
About you: You will possess a combination of technical skills, strong ethical standards, and a passion for the field. You will have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. You should be able to work collaboratively with others and maintain a sense of urgency while remaining composed under pressure.
You will thrive if you have:
- 5 years as software engineer
- 2 – 3 years cyber security exposure
- Experience of implementing solutions
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and best practice for its secure configuration
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both orally and in writing
- Experience of implementing solutions that meet the NIST/CSF guidelines
