Area of responsibility – Objective of the position

Identify and facilitate the implementation of process improvements and cost savings opportunities aligned with key business objectives.

Exchange of Best Practices with corporate CI and participate in continuous improvement of the Lean/Six Sigma methodology.

Moderate and lead CI initiatives and in-house training in all areas of the business (shop floor and/or office environment) and guide employees on CI tools.

Support the improvement of operative and/or administrative processes by using diverse Lean/Six Sigma tools and principles such as JIT (Flow, Takt, Pull), Jidoka (Zero Defects, TPM, 5S, Poka Yoke), Standard Work, Kaizen Events, Visual Management, Lost Time Analysis, Problem solving, A3, Shop Floor Management, VSM, Kamishibai, SMED, etc.

Hand-on execution of identified opportunities including sustainability confirmations.

Work across the business with stakeholders on all levels to achieve business objectives.

Act as a change agent to identify and drive continuous improvement projects that realise cost savings, innovation methodologies and financial benefit for the organization.

Promote and lead Best Practices sharing meetings among production sites and operations departments.

Train and mentor on Lean/Six Sigma concepts to employees throughout the organization.

Analyse KPI levels using diverse software solutions and identify improvement potentials.

Prepare, coordinate, and conduct regular monthly/weekly operation review meetings.

Identify gaps in performance, explain discrepancies and facilitate system solutions.

Basic qualification

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant operations experience.
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Lean/Six Sigma tools and principles. Ideally Six Sigma / Lean certified (Six Sigma Green Belt / Lean Leader).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement plans, lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S, value stream mapping, statistical process control and Six Sigma to drive change.
  • Proficient at using MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel. Minitab and Think-Cell knowledge is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to process and interpret highly complex data – high attention to detail.
  • Hands-on mentality for the implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations (going the extra mile).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Experience in the printing industry is a plus.
