We are seeking a multi-skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team.
The Person
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with a strong understanding of legislation and well-rounded technical knowledge.
- A team player with a flexible approach and the ability to problem solve & work on their own initiative.
Key Requirements:
- NVQ 3 (or equivalent) Electrical / Mechanical engineering Qualification (Required).
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience with an electrical bias (Preferable).
- Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence (Required).
- Emergency first aid at work (Preferable or willing to undertake).
- FLT counterbalance & reach, Working at heights IPAF (Preferable or willing to undertake).
The Role:
- Responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our machinery, infrastructure and facilities.
- Carry out routine, reactive, planned, and unplanned maintenance, diagnose & resolve faults, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Review, identify, and implement repairs and improvements to optimise production equipment performance.
- Ensure work complies with relevant legislation & breakdowns/repairs are left in a safe condition, apply multiskilled capabilities across various machines.
- Involvement in projects to increase the reliability & efficiency of machinery and reduce downtime.
- Investigating & solving electrical and mechanical problems.
- Take responsibility for their own and others health and safety in the working environment.
- Understand the Company Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Policies in relation to the relevant standards (specifically BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 & PS9000:2016) and actively promote these within the business.
