A leading engineering consultancy specialising in nuclear and civil projects is seeking a dedicated CIPD qualified Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in attracting top engineering talent while supporting HR functions within a growing and dynamic organisation.

This dual-role position will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle as well as supporting general HR functions. You will work closely with hiring managers to source, attract, and onboard top talent while ensuring HR policies and procedures align with business needs. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract top engineering and technical talent.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and provide recruitment expertise.
  • Utilise job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach to build strong talent pipelines.
  • Manage external recruitment agency relationships where necessary.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience.
HR Responsibilities:
  • Support HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Assist with onboarding and induction processes, ensuring new employees are integrated smoothly.
  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees on various HR matters.
  • Contribute to HR projects such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and learning & development.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in HR and talent acquisition, ideally within the engineering or technical sector.
  • Experience in HR functions, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns and HR responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
