Title: Engineering Manager Contract: 18 months, Inside IR35 Location: Reading Overview: To lead and manage a technical team; providing effective leadership as the main contact point for all team members and/or other team leaders. To maintain a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to current and future business requirements to deliver the integrated technical programme. Key Accountabilities: Accountable for leading, coaching and developing a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet our operational plans, including mentoring and career development of staff. Assessing staff performance, measured against agreed personal objectives and accountabilities, and taking corrective action to improve performance where necessary via appropriate management interventions. Provide knowledge and technical expertise in the field of technical specialism. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality. Deploy appropriate resources where they need to be allocated to deliver engineering solutions, across multiple disciplines and projects.
