Job Description
CCL are currently working with a leading organisation within the advanced engineering sector who are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity. The successful applicant will support the delivery of complex engineering projects, undertaking electrical design activities from concept through to detailed design, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and customer requirements.
Location : Oxfordshire, UK (3 days per week onsite
)Type of Contract : Until March 2027 (Inside IR35

Key duties will includ
- e:Supporting the design and development of major engineering systems and sub-systems from concept through to detailed desig
- n.Taking responsibility for electrical design activities relating to assigned systems, including upgrade, repair and replacement project
- s.Developing and implementing processes for managing design requirements, interfaces and compliance activitie
- s.Producing and reviewing electrical drawings, cable schedules, bills of materials and associated technical documentatio
- n.Ensuring designs are validated and compliant with applicable standards, manufacturing methods and maintenance requirement
- s.Working closely with engineering technicians, analysts, suppliers and multidisciplinary project team
- s.Applying principles of value engineering and design for manufacture throughout the design proces
- s.Producing technical reports, procedures and engineering documentation as require
- d.Supporting project delivery to agreed quality, cost and schedule requirement
- s.Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders across the organisatio

Requiremen
- ts:Relevant Engineering Degree, HND, HNC, Level 4/5 Apprenticeship or equivalent experien
- ce.Strong Electrical Engineering background with Control & Instrumentation (C&I) experien
- ce.Proven knowledge of UK regulations and EU directives relating to electrical safety and complian
- ce.Experience applying machinery safety principles and BS EN 60204
- -1.Experience using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Lite to produce electrical design documentati
- on.Understanding of configuration control processes and engineering documentation manageme
