Commercial Coordinator (Commercial Administration / Bid Support)

CCL Global is recruiting for a Commercial Coordinator to join a growing Commercial Development team supporting high-profile opportunities across the UK Intelligence, Security and Defence sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development, you'll provide vital administrative and operational support across the commercial lifecycle, helping coordinate bids, proposals, contracts, CRM systems, customer engagement and internal business processes.

You'll play a key role in ensuring commercial activities are delivered efficiently, deadlines are achieved and high-quality documentation is produced for public sector and defence customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate bid schedules, submission deadlines and stakeholder inputs.
  • Produce, format and quality-check professional proposals, presentations and commercial documents.
  • Maintain Share Point, CRM and document management systems. Support contract administration, including NDAs and commercial agreements.
  • Manage shared commercial inboxes and coordinate responses across business functions.
  • Maintain proposal templates and ensure branding consistency.
  • Conduct market, competitor and customer research.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements and diary management for senior stakeholders.
  • Support marketing campaigns, events and business development initiatives.
  • Maintain supplier and compliance portals.
  • Assist with Salesforce data management and pipeline reporting.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in commercial operations, business support, sales support or bid coordination.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High standard of document preparation and formatting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Experience using CRM systems, Share Point or document management platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Able to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with discretion.
  • Confident using AI tools and modern business applications to improve productivity.
  • An interest in the UK Defence, Security or Intelligence sectors is highly desirable.
