CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer – Technical Coordination to support a major nuclear programme within a highly regulated critical infrastructure setting. This role sits within the engineering Technical Directorate and acts as a technical project manager, coordinating between consortium partners, the Client, and key stakeholders.
Type of Contract: Permanent
Location: Site-based (details on application)
Contract Length: Long-term, ongoing through programme delivery
This is not a production role. The successful candidate will not be expected to perform detailed calculations, use analysis software, or produce calculation reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical activities and interfaces across consortium partners and stakeholders.
- Support the review and challenge of technical assessments, methodologies, and engineering approaches.
- Facilitate technical meetings, workshops, and resolution of technical issues.
- Monitor technical risks, assumptions, and open points, ensuring timely closure.
- Provide technical support to delivery teams and management on complex engineering matters.
- Ensure consistency and alignment of technical solutions across the programme.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Around 10 years' experience in civil and structural engineering projects.
- Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete and structural design principles.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience desirable.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership desirable.
