We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Graduate Finance Analyst to join our fast growing national retail business. Operating from our Edinburgh head office, this high exposure development role sits directly alongside our finance leadership team. You will actively support budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, and strategic projects, with a clear progression pathway toward Management Accountant and Finance Business Partner positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Exposure: Gain hands on experience across FP&A, management accounting, and commercial business partnering.
- Data & Analysis: Work with large data volumes to deliver insights on retail performance, margins, and operational trends.
- Strategic Support: Assist in building budgets, forecasting models, and financial presentations for board level reporting.
- Process Improvement: Actively identify efficiencies and challenge existing processes to support business growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: First class or 2:1 degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related numerical discipline.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel capability; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or data analytics tools is a distinct advantage.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent numerical ability with a sharp eye for detail, balanced by an understanding of the bigger commercial picture.
- Communication: A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with cross functional teams outside of finance.
- Drive: Proactive, naturally curious, and genuinely ambitious to progress quickly within a scaling business.
