About the Role
You will provide a reliable and responsive maintenance service across the retail store estate, ensuring stores are safe, well maintained, presentable and operational.
The role will undertake general repairs, maintenance and improvement works and support the Store Maintenance Coordinator with reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance & Repairs
- Carry out general repairs across retail stores.
- Repair doors, handles, locks, shelving, fixtures, fittings and other store equipment.
- Carry out minor plumbing repairs, including taps, sinks, toilets and basic leaks.
- Undertake minor joinery, painting, decorating and patching work.
- Repair or replace damaged flooring, wall coverings and fixtures where appropriate.
- Store Support
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests raised by stores.
- Travel between stores to complete planned and reactive maintenance.
- Support store refits, refurbishments, relocations and opening projects.
- Assist with installation and removal of equipment and fixtures.
- Ensure stores are maintained to the required company standards.
- Minimise disruption to store operations when carrying out maintenance work.
Desirable
- Relevant trade qualification or maintenance experience.
- Electrical or plumbing qualification.
- Experience working within a retail, commercial or multi-site environment.
- Experience using maintenance management systems.
