You will be a Support Worker at Bethnal Green MiHomecare, part of the CCH Group, providing person‑centred care to service users across East London. We welcome both experienced carers and those new to care; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care with the utmost dignity.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice.
  • Encourage participation in hobbies, interests, and community activities.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication.
  • Support mobility and rehabilitation after hospital stays.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Companionship – conversations, activities, outings.
  • Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, reminders, and safe administration.
  • Nutrition & Mealtimes – cooking nutritious meals, considering dietary and cultural needs.
  • Housekeeping – light cleaning, laundry, tidying.
  • Mobility Assistance – transfers, walking support, and use of aids.
  • Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition.
  • Social Inclusion – helping maintain community and family connections.
  • Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear.
  • Documentation – accurate record keeping.
  • Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments and acting quickly when needed.
  • Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families.

Employment Requirements

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Locations

  • Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Stepney, Mile End, Spitalfields, Cambridge Heath, Haggerston, Shoreditch, and surrounding areas.

Pay Rates

  • Monday–Friday: £14.80 per hour.
  • Saturday: £14.95 per hour.
  • Sunday: £15.15 per hour.

Shift Patterns

  • Evening Shifts: 16:00–21:00, 16:00–22:00, or 18:00–21:00.
  • Split Shifts: e.g., 08:00–14:00 and 18:00–21:00.
