Job Description\ N CCG OSM is recruiting a permanent, full-time Experienced Closed Wall Timber Panel Operative for its Wall Line in Glasgow. The role supports Line Leaders in meeting daily and weekly targets, with responsibilities spanning production output, quality, training, safety, and housekeeping.\ N \n Role\ N \n The successful candidate will work as part of the Wall Line team and should have previous experience building closed wall timber panels. The operative will assist the Line Leader with quality, training, and production output, while taking responsibility for a designated area of the line.\ N \n Skills and Attributes\ N The advertisement seeks a candidate who:\ N \n Has previous experience with closed wall timber panels.\ N Takes pride in the quality of the work and is motivated to achieve or surpass targets.\ N Has an excellent attitude, a strong desire to work, and a willingness to listen and learn.\ N Communicates effectively with line staff and the Line Leader.\ N Demonstrates good organisational skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.\ N Maintains high standards of timekeeping and attendance.\ N \n \n Main Duties and Responsibilities\ N Key duties include:\ N \n Maintaining a safe working environment and following methods within Health and Safety guidelines.\ N Maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the line areas.\ N Working as a team member on the Wall Line.\ N Managing the area of the line designated by the Line Leader.\ N Assisting with trainingwhen required.\ N \n \n Pay and Working Hours\ N The starting salary is £14.45 per hour, rising to £15.05 per hour after initial training and site familiarity. The role also includes a weekly production-output incentive, paid twice annually.\ N The available schedules are:\ N \n Early shift: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00 to 14:00.\ N Back shift: 34 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 22:00 and Friday from 14:00 to 18:00, with a 10.5 percent shift allowance.\ N \n \n Location and Employment Details\ N The position is based at2 Drumhead Road, Glasgow East Investment Park, G32 8EX, within the CCG OSM department.
