Pre-Construction Quantity Surveyor
CCG (Scotland) is one of the country’s largest construction and manufacturing groups, and we are seeking a Pre-Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our Pre-Construction Dept. at CCG HQ in Cambuslang.

THE ROLE
- Preparation of cost plans, including measurement and quantification.
- Obtain budget cost information from key subcontractors.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to develop accurate cost plans.
- Coordinate with external consultants to inform and develop cost plans.
- Management and recording of all third-party pre-construction costs.
- Preparing and issuing consultant designer appointments.
- Preparing and issuing pre-construction valuations to clients.
- Contribute to value engineering exercises and buildability reviews with design, technical and site teams to deliver best value for the client.
- Maintain and develop cost database.
Skills
- A degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Approximately 3 to 5 years’ post-qualification experience with a main contractor, developer or consultancy.
- Demonstrable measurement, quantification and cost panning ability; pre-construction experience is a distinct advantage.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods and standard forms of contract.
- Confident use of Microsoft Excel and measurement software; the ability to take off from digital drawings.
- Strong commercial judgement, numeracy and attention to detail, with the discipline to work to programme deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to deal directly with clients, consultants and the supply chain.
