CCG is one of Scotland’s largest privately owned construction and manufacturing companies, and we have an exciting opportunity available for a motivated individual to join our Bids team, based at our company HQ in Cambuslang. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to provide support to all CCG divisions in pre-qualification, tender and general business development activities. We will be looking for you to proactively liaise with colleagues to define and agree on responsibilities in the production of bid deliverables, as well as sourcing data, researching new topics, and filling information gaps to help bring together first-class proposals. The position requires an imaginative thinker and writer with exceptional communication skills. CCG is open to part-time and full-time applicants with flexible working around core hours.
SALARY: Competitive, open to discussion on salary expectations based on your experience
HOURS: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
LOCATION: 1 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB
STATUS: Permanent (this is not a hybrid working role and is primarily office based with travel and site visits as required)
THE ROLE
- Review of client requirements to establish bid deliverables
- Interfacing with internal & external sources to gather relevant bid inputs
- Developing persuasive first draft responses for team review
- Editing and formatting input from content contributors across the organisation – with cross-check against bid requirements
- Debriefing with clients to learn lessons for improvement
- Stakeholder engagement activities to help maintain strong relationships and source new workload
SKILLS
- General knowledge of the construction marketplace
- Analytical skills to deconstruct client requirements
- Creative writing ability
- An approachable individual to represent CCG at site visits, briefings and project interviews
- Document layout skills
- A full driving license
