Overview
CCG Commercial Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 recovery drivers to join our team based at the Meriden depot. Applicants will be given full training and will be required to work as part of an on-call rota.
Positions
- Class 1 Low loaders/HGV recovery Driver
- Class 2 Recovery Driver
Responsibilities
- Attend recoveries for a variety of customers in a safe and timely manner; recoveries may be local or national for vehicles that cannot be repaired at roadside
- Self-manage jobs via PDA from allocation through to completion
- Carry out daily checks and maintain trucks to a high standard
- Accurately document job details and maintain appropriate records in accordance with company procedures
What You Need To Succeed
- Experience within the recovery industry desirable but not essential; full training can be provided
- Full valid driving Licence, along with DCPC and a Digital Drivers Card
- ADR And IVR Preferred But Not Essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise directly with customers and control
- Basic mechanical knowledge; further training can be provided for the right candidate
- Good geographical knowledge
- A flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
- The ability to work alone and use initiative to solve problems in high-pressure situations
