We are currently looking for an enthusiastic HGV technician to join our team, to work on various makes and models of heavy and light commercial vehicles, trailers and all that's in between.
Key Responsibilities:
- To attend all breakdowns as requested by the Operations Centre.
- To affect all repairs efficiently, competently, and to the correct standard.
- To maintain and develop skills in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance.
- To make full use of all equipment and training provided to ensure maximum roadside repair rate.
- To inform the Operations Centre of the outcome of each job and request further assistance if required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and log the details of the job accurately: to include taking images before load/collection and after load/drop off.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management.
- To ensure that the service provided to the customer is of the highest standard in keeping with the brand image and the company's standards.
- Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies regarding driving and vehicle maintenance.
- Work flexible hours and be available for on-call duties as required.
Experience of HGV mechanics preferred but not essential.
Licence/Certification:
- Clean Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Proof of professional qualifications.
