Job Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Manager, the Membership Representative is responsible for obtaining club memberships and participating in extraordinary events, promotions and planning.
  • You will execute marketing tactics in the community and report on your progress towards meeting goals regularly.
  • This is an ideal role for someone who is goal-oriented and enjoys the thrill of making sales and connections with others.
  • This role can lead to other roles down the line and offers the ability to be a part of a team with great culture that feels like family.
  • A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday between 9:00AM - 7:00PM, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
  • A caregiver who excels in this role will:
    • Sell center memberships through the development of new leads, center tours, phone and email inquiries and prospecting of all lead sources.
    • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals as determined by Membership Manager and LifeStyles Director.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports as assigned.
    • Develop proficiency in the use of a computerized lead tracking system.
    • Become involved in local civic organizations (e.g., Chamber).
    • Assist with membership promotional concepts and planning.
    • Participate in center special events.
    • Participate in the 'Manager on Duty' rotation and attend assigned department staff meetings and selected seminars.
    • Follow system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
    • Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
    • Maintain applicable certification/licensure.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • One year of sales experience.
  • Ability to work varying hours, as necessary.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Associate's Degree in Sales, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • Experience with sales in a health club setting.
  • Microsoft experience.
