The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Salesforce Developer to join a small, ambitious and collaborative team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and hands-on Salesforce Developer to play an important role in the ongoing development, support and improvement of the Salesforce platform. You will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements, design and develop solutions, and support the Salesforce platform throughout the full development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and contributing ideas around continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment.
  • Configure and customise the Salesforce platform.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce and SOQL.
  • Support CRM projects and wider systems integration.
  • Develop and implement enhancements and new functionality.
  • Investigate and resolve bugs and technical issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting.
  • Participate in testing, training and documentation.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for the Salesforce platform.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Follow Salesforce and software development best practices.
  • Work collaboratively within an Agile development environment.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven Salesforce development experience and a strong software engineering background. You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience working on the Salesforce platform.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce and SOQL.
  • Previous experience working on CRM projects.
  • Experience with complex business systems integration.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and development.
  • Experience with relational databases and ETL tools.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of REST, JSON and XML web services.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile when required.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
