We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead and close large-scale, complex public sector opportunities. This is a high-impact, revenue-driving role focused on originating, shaping and winning major (£25m+) public sector contracts across central government, agencies and ALBs. You will own end-to-end pursuit of complex opportunities, working closely with Bid Directors and delivery leaders to convert sophisticated propositions into successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership and closure of complex, multi-year revenue pipelines
- Consistently delivering and exceeding revenue targets
- Originating, developing and winning large public sector opportunities valued at £25m+
- Applying structured sales methodologies across opportunity planning and pursuit
- Working in close partnership with Bid Directors as part of high-performing bid teams
- Designing and selling innovative, tech-enabled complex solutions
- Operating across service areas including: Case management & assessment services
- Supporting opportunities that may extend into: Specialist training, Broader BPO and managed service propositions
About You
- Strong public sector background (essential)
- Proven success winning large, complex deals (£25m+)
- Demonstrable experience designing and selling client-centric solutions
- Clear track record of applying standard business development and sales techniques
- Experienced in working collaboratively with Bid Directors and pursuit teams
