An established and forward-looking construction business is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work over the next 5 years, this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in both project delivery and the ongoing evolution of the company’s commercial function.
Operating across external wall systems, roofing, cladding, and rendering, this construction business is actively modernising its processes and team structure—offering the chance to make a real impact.
Role Details
- Location: Coatbridge (office-based)
- Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- Full-time, permanent
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Carrying out measurement and take-offs
- Managing tendering and procurement processes
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance
- Monitoring cost control and project financial performance
- Conducting risk assessments and value engineering
- Producing financial reports and project forecasts
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Supporting overall commercial strategy and project delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Proven background in: External wall insulation (EWI) / NWI, Rendering systems, Cladding or roofing projects
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial processes
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and financial management skills
- Confident communicator with client-facing ability
- Adaptable mindset with a willingness to drive change and improvement
