We are seeking a Senior Solutions Manager to play a leading role in shaping and winning major public sector managed services opportunities. Sitting within a specialist solutioning function, this role is business‑led rather than technology‑led. You will own the end‑to‑end business solution for complex public sector procurements, bringing together service design, operating models, transition and transformation planning, social value, risk, and commercial considerations into compelling, deliverable bid solutions.
This is a highly visible role combining public sector credibility, solution design leadership, and bid writing excellence, with real accountability for solution quality and narrative.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Solutions Manager:
- Define and own bid strategies and win themes aligned to client needs, policy drivers, and evaluation criteria.
- Transformation roadmaps.
- Risk and assurance.
- Review and quality‑assure content from wider bid teams, coaching contributors to raise quality and impact.
- Front, middle, and back‑office service delivery.
- Transformation aligned to policy, regulatory, and user outcomes.
- Clearly articulate assumptions, dependencies, risks, and mitigations within bid submissions.
- Social Value & Public Policy Alignment.
- Work closely with commercial and finance teams to shape pricing narratives and commercial models.
- Provide solution‑level insight into contractual risk, performance regimes, and change mechanisms.
What We’re Looking For as a Senior Solutions Manager:
- A proven track record of leading solution design and bid writing for major public sector procurements.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement, evaluation, and commercial models.
- Experience embedding social value and transformation outcomes into service design in a credible, measurable way.
- Experience coaching and developing others in solutioning and bid excellence.
This Senior Solutions Manager role is accountable for solution quality and narrative, not just contribution, and is writing‑led as well as design‑led, reflecting how public sector work is won.
