About the role:

It is all about coffee, but not any coffee – it’s Costa Coffee. You’ll perfect your craft through excellent training, ensuring every customer experience is exceptional. You will take accountability for the store’s profit and loss and strive to maximise performance. You will be responsible for:

  • Efficient management of the store operation, delivering the best coffee experience to customers.
  • Plan and coordinate weekly rotas, shifts and staff holidays.
  • Drive sales growth by working with your team to maximise key sales areas and KPIs.
  • Effective financial management of the store P&L, working to productivity and gross profit targets.
  • Developing your team and ensuring all team members receive the best in-store training, supplemented through the online learning platform.
  • Support your team by motivating, coaching, engaging and managing performance to deliver excellent customer service and store standards.
  • Manage stock and order systems for food and consumables to ensure 100% supply for customers.
  • Ensure the store operates in line with company standards, policies & procedures.
  • Ensure brand standards are delivered throughout the shift to achieve complete customer satisfaction, including relevant checks, standards, food & health and safety checks, and taking remedial action or escalating as required.
  • Implement and maintain statutory and company standards of hygiene, health and safety, and take necessary actions.

What we are looking for:

An experienced general or deputy hospitality manager from a preferred branded background who has a passion for people, a flair for great service and attention to detail. This is a full-time role, so candidates must have a fully flexible approach to work. Having the passion for coffee and people would just be the start of what we’re looking for (but that’s the obvious bit!). The other skills we would be looking for are:

  • A leader with coaching experience – remember you are leading from the front!
