Key responsibilities for this Junior Investment Analyst position:
- Building, maintaining and reviewing detailed financial models to support investment analysis and decision-making
- Preparing comprehensive investment cases and supporting the assessment of potential investment opportunities
- Drafting clear, accurate and commercially focused investment memoranda
- Conducting financial, commercial, market and company analysis
- Reviewing financial information and identifying key investment considerations, risks and opportunities
- Supporting due diligence processes and responding to analytical questions from senior stakeholders
- Producing high-quality materials for internal investment discussions and decision-making
- Working closely with senior investment professionals across live opportunities and wider portfolio-related projects
- Managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness and attention to detail
- Taking personal responsibility for the quality and reliability of analytical work
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial models, investment materials and analytical processes
What background and experience are the company looking for?
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience within private equity, venture capital, private markets, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, financial analysis or a related investment environment
- University degree preferred
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and quantitative analysis skills
- Experience preparing investment cases, investment memoranda or equivalent decision-making materials
- A strong understanding of financial statements and the key commercial drivers of a business
- The ability to produce accurate and dependable analysis with close attention to detail
- A focused, heads-down working style combined with the responsiveness to answer questions and manage urgent priorities
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of the importance of analytical work within an investment decision-making process
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders in a professional and considered manner
- A high level of accountability, integrity and discretion
- A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of work from initial analysis through to final delivery
