Our client is a leading B2B corporate communications agency. The demands for digital are increasing across the agency\’s client base for a range of branding and stakeholder communications projects. The agency\’s work ranges from brand microsites and communication campaigns to annual or corporate responsibility reports online and the redesign of Plc websites. Often ‘online’ first, the shape of the agency\’s service offer is adapting to meet these demands. The agency is looking to hire a Project Manager.
Our client is looking for an experienced and delivery-focused digital project manager to join a small team to help deliver first-class digital client experiences. We need someone who is responsible for the successful delivery of all digital projects, whether stand-alone or part of wider integrated projects. They will be reporting into account directors on most projects but there is an opportunity to be the lead project manager on others. They will also be responsible for hiring and managing producers to deliver projects in busy periods. The ideal candidate comes from a similar, fast-paced agency environment and is at ease with the issues and challenges short, medium, and long term. This is a hands-on, proactive role with the emphasis on securing client confidence and overseeing all aspects of the project delivery process. Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers is essential.
Working closely with the head of digital and head of client services, this is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their career outside of single project delivery and into a middle management position. They need to be a digital enthusiast who sees opportunities, not hurdles, who understands technology and importantly how to communicate its considerations to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Excellent project planning experience and a true ability to multitask
- Confident client communication skills for project reporting, scope agreement, and general engagement
- Effective development of project briefs with clear timescales, scope, skills, and effort required
- Ability to direct designers, developers, and other staff where necessary
- Hands-on project management of full delivery process to agreed timescales and costs whilst driving the project teams and client to the very highest quality of work
- Manage project resource requirements, including weekly reports on effectiveness across projects and providing visibility of issues and progress to the wider business
- Highly motivated, adaptable, innovative, and keen to learn new skills
- Great problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- At least 3 years senior project management experience with some experience of information-heavy projects
- Proven understanding of website delivery and implementation methodologies
