Our client is an integrated communications agency. They are looking to hire a hands-on Design Director. A bold, confident, experienced digital lead designer is required to head up the agency\’s digital creative.
Overview
A bold, confident, experienced digital lead designer required to head up the agency\’s digital creative. As a key person for both the digital and design teams, we’re looking for someone to lead, educate, inspire, innovate, and deliver intelligently (you’ll need to be hands-on too). We need a clever ideas person, immersed in digital interaction, who can bring big thinking to the table. A master in bringing brands to life in the digital space, who has a modern understanding of interaction and considers the user in every interface you design. You’ll have around 10 years of relevant experience and head up client projects, lead pitches, mentor other designers, and work very closely with UX specialists, animators, and developers.
Core Responsibilities
- Apply user-centred design methodologies to the design of the navigation, user interface, and content structure of digital applications (web, experiential, installations, etc.)
- Deliver high-quality design deliverables including sketches, scamps, page layouts, component design
- Brainstorm concepts for new pitches and campaigns
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept to launch – manage and oversee all design deliverables
- Leadership on digital design thinking – share knowledge, techniques
- Experience working in-house and with remote development teams
Supporting the Design Team
- Work with Creative Director and other Design Directors to manage digital workload
- Mentor and support design team by sharing digital expertise
- Promote design excellence within the team
- Client-facing – able to communicate effectively up to Board level in the client organisation
