Location: Hybrid working – Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. (Expectation is to be in the office for 2 days per week)
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week.

What will I be doing?
As a Product Coordinator, you will become a key stakeholder within the Product Management team, with responsibility for ensuring that our products, including data services, meet the needs of our clients. This is a creative role in which you will have a level of autonomy and be empowered to define your approach and contribute to the company.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop strong product ownership skills and gain valuable experience in leading change. You’ll have the chance to work across a diverse range of products and sectors, reflecting the breadth of our customer base. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be the crucial link between clients and our technical teams, focusing on translating business requirements clearly and accurately. A background in IT is not necessary for this position.
What will my day look like?
Reporting to the Head of Product Management your tasks and responsibilities will be:
- You will be responsible for monitoring external published industry changes, reviewing each with C&C Group subject matter experts on a monthly basis and maintaining our industry change register.
- You will work with a Product Manager to define and agree Product Roadmaps for a small portfolio of products.
- You will manage the product lifecycle for your product portfolio and act as the primary point of contact for our clients for queries relating to your products.
- You will assist in the creation of the communication plans for each product release.
- You will interact with our customers, capturing their requirements for change or adding new products and services.
- You will manage the various SharePoint product communication sites, including access requests and content.
- You will produce video content for product training and communications.
- You will coordinate internal communications regarding product news and updates.
- You will monitor team quality objectives and track the creation of the agreed team deliverables.
- You will facilitate regular meetings between the Product Managers and other key related internal functions to support collaboration and internal communications.
- You will support C&C Group’s change management function.
- You will provide cover and support for the Product Management Team during periods of absence and high-volume workload, such as a product launch.
- You will utilise a number of AI tools to assist with a variety of tasks and utilise your experience to evaluate new tools that may add value to the function.
- You will liaise with third parties to determine how you can enrich existing products or add new products.
More about you
Must have:
- A varied skillset combined with real-world experience of at least two years within the technology sector and an understanding of the software development and product management lifecycle.
- The ability to use Microsoft Office products to create accurate and good-quality documentation.
- Individually organised with the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks in line with agreed priority objectives.
- A good eye for detail and a thorough approach when completing tasks where accuracy is important.
- Communication skills with the ability to contribute to conversations with groups or individuals of internal or external stakeholders.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to take real interest and understand the customers’ business requirements or issues.
- Be creative and have the ability to spot potential opportunities to create new product solutions.
- The ability to work as part of a team in preparing tenders to win new business or retain existing business.
- Be motivated by new challenges and have an interest in a career in software product ownership.
Highly Preferable
- Experience of working within the electricity or gas sector and understand the key concepts of supply infrastructure within the UK.
- Analytical skills with an interest in data and systems.
- Experience in digital content creation and using video editing tools.
- An understanding of AI tools.
- Experience of using Microsoft Azure DevOps to aid with the documentation and tracking of requirements and software specifications.
- Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint.
Nice to have
- Experience of using diagramming tools, such as PowerPoint and Balsamiq, for wireframing.
