About the Role

Do you enjoy seeking out the data that reveals key trends and insight? Do you get a kick out of using this knowledge to inspire change and directly impact success? Are you drawn to the social powerhouses that are premium beers? If so then this maternity cover role might be your ideal next step, and we would love to hear from you.

You will report to the Director of Consumer & Market Insight and sit within the Consumer & Market Insights team in Brand Marketing. In this role, you will lead consumer and market research initiatives that generate actionable insight to shape brand strategy, product development and commercial decision-making across the Beer portfolio.

As a part of that team, you will unearth fresh perspectives across our branded and agency portfolio. Our fabric brands are much loved, and include Tennent’s Lager, which sits alongside a fresh stable of quickly developing premium brands, including Menabrea, Heverlee, Drygate, and Innis & Gunn.

You will work with internal stakeholders across Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Insight, and Technical & Innovation, alongside 3rd party suppliers and agency partners. With this cross-functional collaboration you will lead qualitative and quantitative research, monitor the effectiveness of marketing activity, manage key insight programmes such as brand health tracking, and turn complex findings into clear recommendations that support both short-term targets and longer-term growth plans.

About you

As Consumer Insight Manager, you will be responsible for owning insight inputs into brand planning cycles, managing ongoing and bespoke research projects, supporting innovation through concept and product testing, and ensuring relevant consumer and market trends are translated into practical actions for our brands and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in consumer insight or market research, ideally within FMCG, beverage, or another consumer-focused sector, alongside strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and confidence working with partners Kantar and Nielsen. They will combine analytical rigour with commercial curiosity, be comfortable managing multiple projects and agency relationships, and be able to communicate insight with clarity and influence so that the voice of the consumer is at the heart of brand, marketing and commercial choices.
