About the Role
The primary purpose of this role will be the responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive security awareness programmes to educate and engage our colleagues on best practices for cyber security. This role is crucial in driving behavioural change and ensuring that our organisation remains vigilant against cyber threats.
Purpose
- To raise awareness and provide education of security-related themes to our internal colleagues
- To inform, connect and engage people using multiple communications channels and creative content
- To develop a security awareness programme
- To identify top human risks to the business and behaviours we need to change to mitigate the risks.
- To create a strong culture focused on protecting and securing our business
- Create awareness and training material, drive user compliance activities and contribute to a culture of Information security management
- Provide co-ordination within internal Technology staff and external third-party security partners
Key Accountabilities
- Produce security collateral and communications to a high quality
- Drive behavioural change by designing and implementing a security education and awareness plan
- Plan, manage and maintain organisation-wide security awareness projects, events and communications campaigns
- Have responsibility to implement security awareness events, roadshows and cyber champions groups
- Maintain security communications channels (intranet, newsletter, enterprise social media etc.)
- Support and improve the on-going phishing testing programme
- Develop a strong understanding of C&C Groups regulatory and customer/contractual obligations for cyber security, and the requirements of standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS and Cyber Essentials Plus
- Produce regular reporting to demonstrate the effectiveness of awareness & education activities and identify gaps and recommendations where needed
About you
- A degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or equivalent are desirable
- To have a genuine passion for Cyber Security and its technology, and a drive to continually develop professional and personal knowledge in this fast-moving area
- Have a good understanding of security threats, attack scenarios, intrusion detection techniques and incident management
- Awareness of information security principles (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability)
- Awareness of web apps design, development and deployment across different platforms
- Awareness of enterprise technologies including associated security vulnerabilities and exploits
