In this role, you will lead consumer and market research initiatives to provide actionable insights that drive brand strategy, product development, and commercial success. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of trends, understand consumer behaviour, and ensure that our products resonate with our target audience.
Key Accountabilities- Lead qualitative and quantitative consumer research to understand customer preferences, behaviour, and buying patterns.
- Analyse consumer data to uncover insights that inform brand strategy, marketing campaigns, product development, and customer experience improvements.
- Conduct market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the branded drinks category.
- Present clear, actionable recommendations based on consumer and market insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into easy-to-understand reports, dashboards, and presentations, tailoring insights to different audiences.
- Monitor the effectiveness of consumer marketing campaigns through pre- and post-campaign analysis, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as brand awareness, reach, and sales uplift.
- Partner with the Marketing, Sales, and NPD teams to ensure that all strategies are informed by relevant consumer and market data.
- Support new product development teams with trend analysis, new product testing, and concept validation through consumer & customer feedback.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behaviours, and cultural shifts that could influence the branded drinks market.
- Provide thought leadership by identifying new opportunities for growth, innovation, and brand differentiation.
- Manage relationships with third-party research agencies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and provide valuable insights.
You have experience in consumer insights, market research, or a similar role, ideally within the FMCG or beverage industry. You bring a proven ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, including survey design, focus groups, and data analysis. With a strong command of market research tools, methodologies, and analytics platforms (such as Nielsen, IRI, and Kantar), you possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to turn complex data into actionable insights. Your strong communication and presentation skills allow you to effectively deliver insights to senior management and non-technical stakeholders. You excel at collaborating across departments and with external partners and have familiarity with key performance metrics in brand marketing, product development, and commercial success. Additionally, you are proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau, enhancing your ability to present data clearly and impactfully.
