The role
Responsible for the day-to-day management of strategically prioritised projects within the constraints set out by the Head of Technical Projects. To ensure that the projects produce the required output in accordance with time, cost, quality, scope, benefits, and risk performance goals. There is a requirement to manage Technical themed change throughout the value chain within the relevant business units, collaborating with all level stakeholders and departments, alongside professional colleagues throughout the Technology team.
Responsibilities
- Managing projects to completion, successfully achieving the desired outcomes within set timeframes and cost, with the minimum of business risk.
- Ensure that appropriate planning and documentation is in place for assigned projects using the approved governance structure.
- Driving the successful outcome with stakeholders, managing the project team where appropriate and project support to deliver the project outcome.
- Managing different 3rd Party Providers of Technical Solutions, high level estimates, full statement of works and their associated budgets.
- Ensuring the project support functions are organised appropriately.
- Due consideration to be given and applied to stakeholder management - ensuring that all stakeholders are appropriately informed and consulted.
- Design, facilitate and manage required workshops.
- Process mapping and design.
- Appropriate reporting to the project executive and alignment to our standardised Project Governance.
About you
You’ve ideally gained multiple years of experience managing complex and technology themed projects and have a solid grasp of quality management principles, system processes, and value chain efficiency. Your communication skills and methodologies are adaptable, allowing you to connect with people at all levels, and your high empathy helps you build strong relationships that lead to positive stakeholder feedback. You’re a results driven, natural problem-solver, always looking for different angles and tapping into the expertise around you to come up with innovative solutions. With a logical and analytical mindset, you’re great at using data to make informed decisions. You’re also well-organized, comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Visio and Project, and skilled at juggling tasks, defining processes, and staying on top of deadlines.
