About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen t for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Microbiologist to help us maintain the highest standards of product quality and safety. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly impact the consistency and excellence of our products.
What you\\\'ll be doing
- Delivering on-site Quality KPIs and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Conducting chemical, microbiological, sensory, and packaging analysis.
- Monitoring production processes to prevent contamination.
- Managing sample collection, processing, and validation testing.
- Recording and analyzing data with precision.
- Drafting and reviewing SOPs, lab investigations, and validation protocols.
- Troubleshooting microbiological issues and supporting technical queries.
- Calibrating and verifying lab instruments.
- Designing and delivering quality training sessions.
- Creating and sharing performance reports.
- Supporting BRC, FEMAS, AOECS and other relevant customers and 3rd parties standards
- Performing hygiene audits relevant for the role and implementing corrective actions
- Administering IT systems linked to the Quality Management System.
- Driving continuous improvement and best practices.
About you
- HNC or equivalent degree in a science-related field (e.g. Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science)
- Understanding/experience in a brewery or food manufacturing laboratory
- Experience of scientific analysis and interpretation of results
- Understanding of HACCP and quality systems.
- Clear communication and strong planning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience of liaising with internal/external customers across a multifunction site
- IT Literate
