What you'll do
- Regularly review plan, consider driver debrief feedback from the transport team.
- Take corrective action if improvements identified.
- Plan timings cost effectively, reviewing time allocated to drops vs actual time taken by delivery crew. Amend where necessary.
- Monitor TW success (OTIF – on time in full).
- Review missed windows and identify root cause. Repeat failures to be identified and resolved with support of planning manager.
- Ensure that planning KPI and volume reports are produced in a timely fashion for internal and external consumption.
- Liaise with Customer Services teams feeding back any delivery queries/problems and assisting in the resolution of any customer delivery day and time window issues.
- Assist and deputise for the planning manager when required.
- Adhere to all depot Health and Safety procedures.

- Previous experience / can demonstrate knowledge of transport planning.
- Knowledge of systems, ability to learn quickly (DIPS; JDE; Microlise).
- Geographical awareness (Scotland).
- Ability to problem solve calmly.
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
- Ability to work to challenging deadlines.
- Good communicator.
- Flexible attitude to working times.
