About the role
- Lead in production and review of monthly management accounts and submit to internal stakeholders, including monthly P&L review calls with the wider team.
- Review month-end P&L accounts to identify and correct errors promptly.
- Support key deliverables for submission to Group, including monthly results, half-year, and quarterly forecasts in line with C&C requirements.
- Lead intercompany matching process, managing and resolving variances with C&C counterparties.
- Collaborate with cost centre owners, especially regarding the management accounts pack.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and issues resolved in a timely manner.
- Support the audit relationship with EY.
- Provide technical accounting advice to the wider finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes to ensure compliance, control, and maximize business benefits.
- Oversee quarterly VAT submissions and annual PSA return.
- Review payroll data and complete monthly payroll KPIs.
- Coordinate with AP to understand GRNI releases and ensure correct postings.
- Assist the Finance Manager and leadership team with other tasks throughout the year.
About you
- Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a good understanding of relevant frameworks and regulations.
- Developing business partnering skills, using financial knowledge in decision-making.
- Proficient in analysis techniques.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Familiar with ERP systems; JDE experience is desirable.
- Proven experience in financial and management accounting.
